A lot of people choose to have the magic entertainment during the meal but in my experience this is not the best time and I’ll tell you why! People are more interested in eating than taking part in any kind of entertainment that involves participation. I feel it is rude to ask someone to put their knife and fork down whilst they are eating to ‘pick a card’ or anything else.
Food is hard to compete with for the best of magicians!
Also the magician can be a pain for the waiters and vice a versa! The climax of the trick is bound to be ruined by the waiter delivering the main dish!
